About Me
I was born in on the west coast and spend my childhood going on adventures in the forest or on the lake. All children make up stories in their heads in one way or another and I was no exception. I loved it. I also loved books and thanks to my parents, I could read by the time I started kindergarten. Stories were an escape for me, a journey into the world of imagination.
I have always had a curious nature, and growing up in a haunted lodge, my curiosity turned to the things that go bump in the night. Ghosts and all things unexplained fascinated me. What made that door open? How am I hearing those footsteps on the stairs? I still haven't found the logical, scientific explanations.
When I was a teenager we moved to the south, and saying goodbye to the beach and lush forests that had been my home was difficult for me. My life was fairly boring during my adult years but there were a few consistencies. My fascination with all things unexplained, my love of nature and my adventurous (maybe a touch Gypsy?) spirit.
I'd never been much of a writer during my life. I didn't take writing classes in college or fill my room with notebooks of scribbles. I kept it all in my head. And my heart.
Now that I've reached my retirement years (hurray!) I've decided that it's time. It's time to put all those stories that are filed neatly away in my head onto paper. And so, I've taken the first steps on a new adventure of writing novels and short stories. Horror, of course. It couldn't be anything else. When I'm not writing I enjoy living a minimal lifestyle, visiting historic homes and locations, learning about plant-based cooking and exploring in my adventure van, Stormy. Nothing inspires writing horror stories as much as being the only camper in the forest during a thunderstorm...
